Abstract: Purpose Urolithiasis is a common urinary tract disease with growing prevalence. Alpha1-adrenoceptors (α1-ARs) are abundant in ureteral smooth muscle, distributed with different α1-AR subtypes. α1D-AR is the most widely distributed in the ureter.
