“…The results of this study on the positive nexus between gender political inclusion and environmental sustainability are in line with the extant empirical and theoretical literature discussed earlier. This is especially so in light of the importance of gender inclusion in favorable outcomes of economic development and, inter alia, the following areas: the theoretical relevance of female inclusion in positive economic and political ramifications (Duflo, 2012; Scheyvens, 1999); the empirical literature on the relevance of gender inclusion in better prospects for good governance (Hessami & da Fonseca, 2020; Kengdo et al., 2020; Nchofoung, Asongu, Tchamyou, & Edoh, 2023; Ngouhouo & Njoya, 2020); more tax mobilization in event of enhanced female empowerment (Asongu et al., 2021); better gender inclusion for health and food security (Yaya et al., 2020); infrastructure development (Nchofoung, Asongu, & Tchamyou, 2023); environmental sustainability (Asongu et al., 2022); and economic freedom (Nchofoung et al., 2021).…”
