Effect of Weld Configuration on Structural Strength of Submerged Arc Welding

Abstract: Submerged arc welding (SAW) is a popular method of joining the metals. It gives greater protection to the welds from contamination from the external oxidation which is the main source for weakness of the weld. Also weld quality can be better controlled in the SAW by the control of weld speed, current, voltage and filler rod dimensions.
