Giriş: Akut apandisit tedavisi ayrılmaz bir şekilde zamanla ilişkilidir. Başvurudan ameliyata kadar geçen süre hakkında önemli miktarda literatür olmasına rağmen, hastaların acil servise başvuru zamanı ve bunun sonuçlarını inceleyen sınırlı çalışmalar mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada akut apandisitli olguların hastaneye başvuru zamanı ile apendiks inflamasyonu arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek amaçlandı. Materyal-Metot: Kliniğimizde 2016-2019 yılları arasında akut apandisit nedeniyle opere edilen olgular dahil edildi. Olguların acil servise başvuru saati; 08:00-18:00 ile 18:01-07:59 olarak 2 gruba ayrıldı. Apendiks histopatolojik olarak hafif-orta (grup I) (lenfoid doku hiperplazisi, oblitere apandisit, akut apandisit, lokalize peritonitli olgular) ve şiddetli grup II (flegmonoz, perfore, apseli olgular) olarak 2 gruba ayrıldı. Hem hastaneye başvuru zamanına göre hem de apendiks histopatolojik olarak gruplar karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Çalışmamıza yaş ortalaması 38,6(16-87) olan 151 olgu dahil edildi. Gündüz başvuru %35, gece başvuru %65 olgudan oluşmaktaydı. Operasyona kadar geçen süre 5,7(1-20) saat idi. Gündüz ve gece başvuruda perforasyon oranları ve apendiksin inflamasyon şiddeti benzerdi(p>0,05). Olguların günün başvuru zamanı ile CRP ve WBC düzeyleri ilişkili bulunmadı(p>0,05).
