Effect of thoracic endovascular aortic stent diameter on short term mortality in esophageal cancer-associated aortoesophageal fistula

Abstract:This case series presents a single center experience on treating esophageal cancer related aortoesophageal fistula (AEF) .
From January 2010 to October 2022, 7 patients with cancer related AEF were treated with thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) at China medical university hospital.
Main tumor localized at the middle to lower third of esophagus, with residual disease or local recurrence disease status was the main risk factor of aortoesophageal fistula (AEF) development.
