“…Considering the symmetry of the model, a two-dimensional axisymmetric model was established, as shown in figure 2. In the model, the MAT_JOHNSON_COOK material model [7,8] In the parameters of JWL equation of state, E0 is the initial specific internal energy of unit volume, which can be calculated by the detonation heat and density of the explosive. The R1, R2 and ω can be acquired according to the explosives with similar components firstly, then the value of A and B can be calculated according to R1, R2 and ω [9], after that, these parameters were substituted into the simulation model of cylinder test for calculation, from which the curve of cylinder expansion distance versus time was obtained.…”

“…First, the measurement temperature was increased to 50 °C, and the sample was not transferred to the Peltier plate until the temperature deviation was less than 0.02 °C. This procedure was adopted when obtaining fresh slurry, as mentioned in the section “Fabrication of the GAP Propellant Slurries.” Then, the sample was allowed to stand for 15 min to ensure the same thermal history and the available residual force inside the sample . The Peltier plate was subsequently dropped to a gap of 1mm, which denotes that the upper plate was 1mm away from the lower plate.…”

Finally, strain sweep measurements and frequency sweep measurements were conducted to determine the rheological properties of the samples.…”

“…The apparent viscosity of concentrated GAP/AP suspensions is considerably reduced when AP-fine is partially replaced with AP-coarse and the lowest apparent viscosity is attained at a 1 : 1 ratio of AP-coarse to AP-fine by weight. The larger values of D reveal that a small amount of replacement using AP-coarse leads to wider particle size distribution of AP as reflected in Table 1, which contributes to increasing packing fraction of AP [27,28]. AP-fine particles filling into the interstices between AP-coarse particles, the voids are diminished and the GAP/DGTN mixture between AP-coarse is extruded and could flow again during the shear, thus the friction between particles is reduced and the apparent viscosity of suspensions decreases.…”
