Effect of Temperature on the Dynamic Mechanical Behaviors of Zr‐Based Metallic Glass Reinforced Porous Tungsten Matrix Composite

Abstract: The dynamic mechanical behaviors of Zr‐based metallic glass reinforced porous tungsten matrix composite were investigated by a split Hopkinson pressure bar at different testing temperatures. The flow stress of the composite decreased, while the ductility increased with increasing testing temperature, which were attributed to that more microcracks were initiated in the tungsten phase as well as more microshear bands were induced in the metallic glass phase with increasing temperature.
