Effect of telmisartan in hypertensive patients with impaired fasting glycaemia

Abstract: Background: Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, has a higher affinity for AT1 receptors. It has also been recognized as partial agonist of the nuclear hormone receptor PPAR-gamma.
