“…The present study is the second part of a series of studies that focuses on the influence of the addition of gangue components, such as silica and alumina, to CF on reduction behavior. It follows the previous work on silica and aims at better understanding the influence of different alumina content on the reaction mechanism of the CaO–Fe 2 O 3 (0, 2, 4, and 8 wt%)–Al 2 O 3 system. The isothermal kinetics of CaO–Fe 2 O 3 –Al 2 O 3 in 30% CO and 70% N 2 gas mixture was studied by using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).…”

“…Although the reduction processes of VTM sinter 3,39 and CFs 40,41 have been extensively reported, the reduction behavior of AT has rarely been investigated. In this study, the non-isothermal reduction behavior of AT was examined by thermal analysis using a Setaram analyzer 40 (Model Setsys Evo TG-DTA 1750).…”

“…Moreover, the reduction behavior of calcium ferrite minerals under CO and H 2 were also investigated. [7][8][9][10][11][12] In addition, in recent research, it has been widely applied including as a thermal catalyst for decreasing the NOx emission in the sintering process, [13][14][15] as a photocatalytic for degradation of the organic wastewater 16,17) and volatile organic compounds, [18][19][20] as a photocathode for producing hydrogen in water splitting, [21][22][23] as a oxygen carrier for chemical looping gasification applications, [24][25][26][27][28] as a anode material for lithiumion batteries 29) and as a visible light activated gas sensor. 30) The surface structure of calcium ferrite affects the strength of sinter and reduction reaction of it with CO and H 2 in the blast furnace.…”
