Effect of raceway geometry parameters on the carrying capability and the service life of a four-point-contact slewing bearing

Abstract: The carrying capability and the service life of a four-point-contact slewing bearing are influenced significantly by its raceway geometry parameters. In this paper, the carrying capability is characterized by the maximal contact stress in the paper. The usual industry practice is to specify the service life as the L 10 life. The geometry parameters, cross section clearance, ratio of curvatures, rolling ball diameter, and initial contact angle, are also considered. The sensitivity of each parameter influencing … Show more

“…In this way, the relationship between the spatial indicator and the temporal indicator in the slewing life prediction model can be fully studied. The calculation formula of ST-gate is as follows: (6) Cell: The improved cell can better integrate important historical information and existing information, so the current cell state stores the comprehensive information of each gate and the result of cell is the candidate value. In the ST-LSTM network layer, spatial-temporal information st t will participate in the current cell state and 1-st t will be added to the cell state at the previous moment.…”

“…Gao et al 2 established the nonlinear equations of a single-row four-point contact ball slewing bearing, the sensitivity of some design parameters of the ball, and the raceways which influence the maximum ball load and the slewing bearing service life was discussed. Chen et al 3 developed a mechanical model of a double-row four-point contact ball slewing bearing and studied the effects of the geometric parameters on the carrying capacity of the slewing bearing.…”
