The Shallots are one of the commodities in high demand in Indonesia. One method for increasing shallot growth is to use good planting media and seed treatment. The purpose of this experiment was to see what effect planting media and seed soaking had on the growth of shallot TSS (Allium ascalonicum L.). A factorial randomized block design (RAK) with three replications was used in the experiment. The first factor is the planting media, which is divided into three levels: M1 (cocopeat), M2 (zeolite), and M3 (sand). The second factor is seed soaking, which has three levels: no soaking (P0), warm water 35°C 30 minutes (P1), and plain water 24 hours (P2). When compared to sand planting media, the treatment of cocopeat and zeolite planting media had a significant effect on germination capacity and fresh weight. Soaking shallot seeds in warm water at 35°C for 30 minutes and plain water for 24 hours had a significant effect on germination, plant height, number of leaves 7-21 DAT, fresh weight, and dry weight of shallots compared to not soaking. There is a significant interaction that affects the percentage of germination. However, there was no significant interaction between plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight, and dry weight of shallots and various planting media and seed soaking.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa media tanam dan dosis tepung cangkang telur ayam terhadap pertumbuhan microgreen brokoli yang dilakukan di Rumah Kaca Politeknik Pembangunan Pertanian Yogyakarta Magelang pada bulan September 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan dari beberapa jenis media tanam dan takaran serbuk cangkang. Kulit telur ayam melawan pertumbuhan microgreen brokoli. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAK) dengan dua faktor yaitu faktor pertama media tanam yang terdiri dari cocopeat, arang sekam dan vermikulit, faktor kedua adalah tepung cangkang ayam 10 gr. 20 gr dan 30 gr. Dari hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa rata-rata tinggi tanaman brokoli microgreen berbeda nyata pada perlakuan antar media tanam yaitu M1 Cocopeat dengan M2 Husk Charcoal dan M3 Vermiculite, rata-rata tinggi tanaman brokoli microgreen berbeda nyata pada perlakuan perlakuan. Pemberian serbuk cangkang telur yaitu C2 20 mg, dengan C1 20 mg dan C3 30 mg serta perlakuan kombinasi nomor 2 yaitu media tanam cocopeat dan serbuk cangkang 10 mgr dengan rata-rata tinggi sebesar 5.4467 tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata dengan perlakuan nomor 3 tetapi berbeda nyata. dari perawatan lain. Perlakuan 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 berbeda nyata dengan kontrol yaitu 4,3033 cm.

The cultivation of dry-season sorghum on residual moisture in West and Central Africa is highly affected by sowing dates and ecotypes used. Fifty-five dry-season sorghum ecotypes collected from three zones in southern Chadian were sown on two dates, early and late, in 2013 and 2014, in an α-Lattice, and replicated five times to evaluate the effect of sowing date on potential yield, flowering time, and other agro-morphological traits and to determine their photoperiod sensitivity. Trials were conducted in the research fields at the Agricultural Research Extension Farm in Youé, Chad. Year, sowing date, and their interaction significantly affected most of the assessed traits. Delaying sowing significantly decreased potential yield, duration of vegetative phase, and other agro-morphological traits, except staygreen. All cultivars were photoperiodic with late sowing requiring a lower cumulative growing degree unit to flower. The flowering window was not affected by sowing dates across cultivars; however, the flowering time was affected by a decrease in daylength, but not low night temperatures. Generally, late sowing decreased potential yield across cultivars. However, this decrease varied with the region of origin, with seven cultivars having average potential yields at or above the regional potential yield of 1 t/ha, irrespective of year or sowing dates.
