Abstract: The article determines the influence of pulse duration, energy density and focusing parameters on the process of formation of a weld of transparent dielectrics. A comparative analysis of laser welding of borosilicate and quartz glass with different pulse durations and energies of picosecond and femtosecond fiber lasers was carried out.
