“…League tables can serve as a supplement to assess the effects between different interventions using effect sizes and confidence intervals. Funnel plots can provide an intuitive assessment of bias in small-study effects due to their symmetry (Li et al, 2023b), although this may introduce publication bias in NMA. The potential impact of publication bias on study outcomes will also be investigated using Egger's and Begg's tests, and if publication bias is found, it will be explored through sensitivity analyses to identify potential sources of bias.…”

“…As for the effects of physical activity interventions, our study is consistent with some previous research findings. Physical activity can improve participants' attention problems, social abilities, and executive functions (Verburgh et al, 2014;Ludyga et al, 2016;De Greeff et al, 2018), and can produce numerous beneficial effects on physiological, psychological, and neurocognitive aspects, including reductions in stress, anxiety, depression, and negative emotions (Tsatsoulis and Fountoulakis, 2006;McKercher et al, 2009;Garcia et al, 2012;Diamond, 2015;Li et al, 2023b). Physical activity interventions also have a certain degree of improvement effect on the symptoms of ADHD patients, previous studies have shown that ADHD patients have multiple core symptoms improved after participating in long-term physical activity, including decreased attention problems, improved cognitive functions, increased coordination, and reduced behavioural problems (Niederer et al, 2011;Verret et al, 2012;Choi et al, 2015;Pan et al, 2016;Pan et al, 2019).…”

“…Since the Canadian 24-hour movement guidelines were issued in 2016 ( Tremblay et al, 2016 ; Liu et al, 2022 ; Ma et al, 2022 ), emerging evidence has focused on the benefits of adhering to the movement guidelines. For optimal health outcomes, adolescents should adhere to the recommendation of a higher level of physical activity ( i.e., at least 60 min of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) per day) ( Ren, Yan & Sun, 2021 ; Li et al, 2023 ; Liu et al, 2023 ), limited screen time (ST) ( i.e., no more than 2 h per day) ( Huang et al, 2021 ), and sufficient sleep ( i.e., 8–10 h per day for 14–17 years) ( Tremblay et al, 2016 ; Liu et al, 2022 ; Li et al, 2023 ; Yan et al, 2023 ). Adherence to the 24-hour movement guidelines ( Tremblay, Carson & Chaput, 2016 ; Chen et al, 2022b ) is important for promoting health in children and adolescents ( Sampasa-Kanyinga et al, 2021 ).…”
