Abstract: Academic knowledge and transfer of knowledge retention after graduation to the workplace by office technology and management (OTM) students in Polytechnics has been worrisome to stakeholders in education. This study seeks to determine if peer tutoring instructional technique could solve these aforementioned problems. “…Another finding of the research is that there is a significant difference between the posttest mean retention scores of students taught chemical kinetics using RPT and those taught directly by teachers. This is in line with Ehirhime's (2020) finding that peer tutoring enhances academic knowledge retention among office technology and management students of polytechnic. Ding and Harskamp (2011) in a study on the collaboration and peer tutoring in chemistry laboratory education, also reported that the delayed post-(retention test) revealed that students who had been in the peer tutoring situation outscored those in the collaborative learning situation.…”

“…Likewise, peer tutoring can improve academic achievement in knowledge (Ullah et al, 2018). Students acquire knowledge through peer tutoring will also last a long time because the transfer of knowledge between students can occur more flexibly (Ehirheme, 2020). This study's results align with several studies, and there is an increase in knowledge competency during implementation of peer tutoring.…”
