Effect of Orally Administered Potentized Capsaicin and Dihydrocapsaicin in Humans: A Homeopathic Pathogenetic Trial

Abstract: Background: A homeopathic pathogenetic trial is a procedure to examine the disease-producing effect of any substance on humans. Capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin are known as pain-producing agents. According to the homeopathic law of similars, any substance having the capacity to produce certain symptoms should also be able to treat them in return, when administered in small (potentized) dose. Methods: In a doubleblind, randomized placebo-controlled homeopathic pathogenetic trial with 22 volunteers, 15 received a… Show more

“…Since the phase 1 safety trial [4] was not placebo-controlled, we conducted this controlled HDP, which has shown many symptoms comparable to that of phase 1 (Table 2). The presumed nanomaterials [14] in homeopathic potencies have shown effects comparable with that of the source materials (SARS CoV 2 virus) in this study (Table 3), as well as in other studies such as HIV Nosode [15], Hepatitis C Nosode [16], and Capsaicin [17], drawing attention to the fact that the ultra-dilute format of the potentized medicines retains the ability to alter human physiology. Homeopathically, the primary effects of the BiosimCovex on healthy volunteers are suggestive of its therapeutic role for the conditions such as acute colds and coughs, bronchitis, COVID-19 illness, fibromyalgia, arthritis, headaches, anxiety, and sleeplessness.…”

“…HPTs of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) nosode, 12 hepatitis C nosode, 9 capsaicin alkaloids (capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin), 11 and hydroquinone (HQ) 10 were included in this analysis. These trials were published in peer-reviewed journals.…”

“…Symptoms that were exhibited by volunteers who dropped out from the study due to adverse events were also excluded from analysis. These additional filters were introduced by the author [9][10][11][12] to minimise the interference of psychological effects of the medicine. Additionally, the author introduced a method of qualifying each symptom by its intensity, on a scale of þ (mild), þþ (moderate), þþþ (severe) and þþþþ (very severe).…”

“…Hence, the specificity of the reported symptoms and the differences in these symptoms compared to those reported by people taking a placebo are not clear. The Similia principle was demonstrated to also work in the difficult field of human investigation when "conventional" statistics was applied to the HPT by our group [137] and others [138][139][140].…”
