Abstract: Proscillaridin A, a cardiac glycoside, has been reported to inhibit taurocholic acid uptake via the sodium taurocholate cotransporter polypeptide, a functional receptor for hepatitis B virus (HBV), thereby directly or indirectly inhibiting HBV infection.
