Es wird uber Arbeiten berichtet, die das Studium der Lirdichkeitsbeeinflussung yon Fettsauren auf Butanol-1 in Gegenwart von fetteauren Salzen beinhalten. Viskositatsmessungen an den Systemen Eollen einen Hinweis auf die Flussigheitsstruktur geben. SummaryFrom the results i t has been concluded that the addition of freeacidslowers the tendency of the soap solution to form Hydrophilic Oleomicelles but it has no effect on the formation of Lipophilic Hydromicelles.The tendency to form viscous solutions or gels increases with the increase in the length of the acid chain of the soap and decreases with the amount of free acid added. The sol gel transformation temperature increases with the increase in the length of the acid chain in the soap as well as with the increase of the chain length of the free acid added.It may also be pointed out that the capacity for solubilization of the soap in presence of same amount of free acid decreases as the length of the acid chain in the soap increases and i t is in the order:From the viscosity measurements it has been confirmed that two types of micelles are formed in the solutions.

For the systems: "Water-0.2N sodium salts of fatty acids and alcohols (3-methyl butanol-1 or hexanol-1) in presence of free acids and sodium hydroxide" the specific conductivity decreases with the increase in the chain length of the soap as well as of the alcohol. The specific conductivity of the solutions increases with the increase in sodium hydroxide concentration. I n the plot of specific conductivity and sodium hydroxide concentration, the curvature is more marked in the case of lower soaps than the higher soaps. InhaltsubersichtEs wurde die spezifische Leitfahigkeit des ternaren Systems Wasser/O, 2 normale Natriurnsalze von Fettsauren und Alkoholen in Gegenwart von freier Saure oder Alkali gemessen; Dabei wurde gefunden, daB die spezifische Leitfahigkeit mit steigender Kettenlange des Alkohols fallt. Sie steigt mit steigender Alkalikonzentration.
