Abstract:Sri Lanka has access to fishery resources in the Indian Ocean due to its location. While traditional fishing methods are still used in the Sri Lankan fishery industry, modern technologies such as remote sensing and GIS are employed to determine spatiotemporal distribution of tuna fish resources in the offshore fishery industry.
