Effect of Next Generation Fertilizers on Yield Potential of Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Abstract: The experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of next-generation fertilizers along with other recommended fertilizers on the growth and yield during the period from January 2015 to May 2015 at the experimental field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The experiments were laid out in RCBD method with three replications. The experiment was conducted in boro rice with six treatments including control viz Treatment0=Control (no fertilizer), Treatment1=Recomme… Show more

“…Similarly, Mohammad et al (2014) recorded the highest biological yield 12.05 t ha -1 for BR11 with the hand application of USG. This could be related to the development of higher plants with more effective tillers, as well as the longest panicle and grain yield (Faroque et al, 2021). Previously, Rahman and Bulbul, (2014) stated that BRRI hybrid dhan2 gave a maximum of 13.33 t ha -1 (irrigation when water was 15 cm below the soil surface) and 12.39 t ha -1 (irrigation when water was 20 cm below the soil surface) biological yield under AWD compared to CF condition.…”

“…Iron also plays major role synthesis of chlorophyl, respiration, photosynthesis, chlorophyll synthesis, and many other. In Sometimes severe chlorosis caused due to Fe deficiency can lead to rice crop failure (Soumya et al,2022) [8] . Nitrogen owning its major key role in chlorophyll production, which is essential for the photosynthesis process.…”
