Abstract:Biochar is currently used as a phosphate adsorbent in water and subsequently as a soil amendment. In this study, modified biochar was prepared directly by co‐pyrolysis of MgO and rice straw, and a preliminary ecotoxicological assessment was performed before the application of modified biochar to soil.
