Effect of Mobile Phase Composition on the Selectivity of Chromatography Columns Which Use Polypyrrole as the Stationary Phase
Hawick Chriswanto
Abstract:Chromatography columns packed with polymeric stationary phase have been prepared. The packing materials were prepared by depositing polypyrrole chloride or polypyrrole dodecylsulfate onto silica particles. The deposition was accomplished by chemical oxidative polymerisation. Chromatographic selectivity of the columns was examined under reversed-phase condition using pairs of test compounds with known functionalities as the probes. The results showed that if hydrophobic interactions were dominant, the selectivi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
