Effect of Mineral Fillers on the Properties of Chemically Crosslinked Polyethylene Foam

Abstract: An investigation has been made of the effect of whiting on the mechanical properties of chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam. The presence of up to 15% filler has little effect on the appearance of the foam. The apparent density of the foam increases little. The characteristics of the foam under compression are improved, and its tensile strength is increased.
