“…In addition, not only GBs but also the high dislocation densities are known to function as nucleation sites for the surface Ni(OH) 2 film. [ 38 ] Hence, we also collected geometrically necessary dislocation (GND) density images, which represent the density of dislocations (Figure S8, Supporting Information). The results show that the X ‐scan Ni‐SCR exhibited 1.46‐, 1.33‐, and 1.48‐fold greater density on its XY , XZ , and YZ planes, respectively, compared with the XY ‐scan Ni‐SCR.…”

“…Comparing the Nyquist plots for Ti-6Al-4V in the two electrolytes in Figure 6, the curvature of the high-frequency region in the NaCl-EG electrolyte is significantly greater than that in the aqueous NaCl electrolyte. The curvature of the Nyquist plot in the high-frequency range reflects the influence of R ct on the material's surface [27], and the greater curvature in this frequency range indicates that the electrochemical reactions become more difficult with increasing R ct [28]. The fitting results in Table 5 show that the R ct of Ti-6Al-4V in the NaCl-EG electrolyte is significantly higher than that in the aqueous NaCl electrolyte, indicating that Ti-6Al-4V has a better corrosion resistance in the NaCl-EG electrolyte.…”

“…NaNO3, NaClO3 and NaCl solution was used as the electrolyte, and the surface air oxide film was removed by polarization for 2 min at a constant potential of −1.2 V [24]. All the tests were performed potentiodynamically with a scan rate of 1 mV/ s, starting from -1.5 V to 1.5V.…”
