The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in the incidence of sleep disorders and depression in postmenopausal middle-aged females in South Korea. [Participants and Methods] This study was a cross-sectional study. A total of 87 middle-aged females between the ages of 40 and 60 years were selected through convenience sampling. The data were collected with a self-reported questionnaire from May 1 to May 29, 2017.[Results] The mean menopause score of the study was 5.37. The menopause symptoms indicated significant differences in sexual life. The association between the incidence of menopausal symptoms and sleep disorders and depression scores based on a scale of 1 to 10 was analyzed. Menopausal symptoms strongly affected sleep and depression in middle-aged females. [Conclusion] The findings of this study may be useful in understanding depression and sleep disorders in middle-aged females and for developing more specific programs for depression and sleep disorders. Management strategies are also needed.

Latar belakang: Usia menarche dan penggunaan kontrasepsi berhubungan dan juga tidak berhubungan dengan usia menopause. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan usia menarche dan riwayat penggunaan kontrasepsi dengan usia menopause. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei analitik dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling berjumlah 55 perempuan usia menopause di kelompok komunitas kerohanian Bandung, Jawa Barat. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantittif untuk menggambarkan karakteristik respondedn dan uji Chi-square untuk melihat hubungan antar variabel. Hasil: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara usia menarche dan penggunaan kontrasepsi dengan usia menopause. Simpulan: Perlu untuk melakukan pengembangan penelitian terkait hubungan usia menarche dan penggunaan kontrasepsi dengan usia menopause dengan memperhatikan confounding factor untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil penelitian. Amaç: Bu çalışmada Perimenopozal Depresyon Ölçeği (Meno-D)'nin Türkçe versiyonunun geçerlik ve güvenirliği incelenmiştir. Yöntem: Metodolojik türde yapılan çalışmaya perimenopozal dönemdeki 120 kadın katıldı. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Perimenopozal Depresyon Ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Çalışmada Meno-D’nin dile ve kültüre uyarlanması, dil ve kapsam geçerliği, yapı geçerliği, iç tutarlılığı ve zamana karşı değişmezliği değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Ölçeğin Kapsam Geçerlik İndeksi (KGİ) 0,93 olarak belirlendi. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanarak ölçeğin beş faktörlü yapısının uyum indeksi değerlerinin kabul edilebilir olduğu saptandı. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarının Cronbach α katsayısı 0,73 ile 0,85 arasında değişirken, ölçek toplam Cronbach α katsayısı 0,75 bulundu. Sonuç: Perimenpozal Depresyon Ölçeği’nin Türkçe versiyonunun perimenopozal dönemdeki kadınların depresyon durumunun değerlendirilmesinde kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir.
