Effect of Lysine Supplementation in Commercial Feed on Energy Retention and Feed Conversion Ratio of Carp (Osphronemus gouramy)

Abstract: The long period of raising carp (Osphronemus gouramy) causes the need for excessive feed. One way that can accelerate the growth of this fish in order to shorten the maintenance period is by the addition of essential amino acids, such as lysine. However, this certainly gives its own influence on energy retention. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the influences of addition of lysine in feed on energy retention and feed conversion ratio of carp. The research method used an experimental method wi… Show more

“…Conversely, water conditions that are in accordance with the needs of fish will support their growth and survival. Water quality can be known by observing water quality parameters (Thaiin, 2016). According to Fitriah (2004), changing water conditions will cause stress for fish and physiological disturbances that can inhibit metabolic processes and result in decreased fish appetite.…”

“…An upsurge in population have resulted in intensive land use, which has decreased soil fertility, caused erosion and anthropological impacts. Concerns have been raised regarding the use of chemical fertilizers that increase crop yield but also cause eutrophication, soil acidification, contamination of groundwater, and decreased microbial diversity (Thaiin et al., 2021). New technologies aim to increase agricultural production, but some, like mineral fertilizers and agrochemicals, have high costs and environmental effects.…”
