Effect of landiolol on bispectral index and spectral entropy responses to tracheal intubation during propofol anaesthesia

Abstract

RE increased in response to tracheal intubation, whereas BIS and SE did not. Landiolol and remifentanil suppressed the increase in RE after tracheal intubation with significant inhibition of RE-SE difference.

Efeito de diferentes doses de esmolol sobre a resposta hemodinâmica, BIS e resposta de movimento durante a intubação orotraqueal: estudo prospectivo, randômico e duplo‐cego

“…Menigaux et al 14 em anestesia com propofol e Oda et al 15 em anestesia com sevoflurano (1 CAM) com infusão de esmolol, similar aos opiáceos, descobriram que não houve efeito significativo sobre os valores do BIS antes da intubação traqueal; porém, o aumento dos valores do BIS associados à intubação traqueal e a resposta hemodinâmica e de movimento diminuiram. Kawaguchi et al 34 avaliaram landiolol de ação curta, um antagonista do receptor adrenérgico ␤ 1 , durante condições estáveis de anestesia com propofol, e semelhante ao remifentanil, relataram uma supressão no aumento da entropia de resposta (entropia de resposta = RE e entropia de situação = SE, reflexivas dos níveis nociceptivos e hipnóticos em anestesia geral) à intubação traqueal, na forma de RE nociceptiva e reduções de RE-SE. Em nosso estudo, semelhante a estudos anteriores, 14,15 não houve redução nos valores do BIS na ausência de estímulos dolorosos após a infusão de esmolol e antes da intubação nos três grupos.…”
