Effect of lactational and post weaning feeding on the reproductive performance of primiparous sows

Abstract: A depression in sow reproductive performance at the second litter is frequently experienced in modern production. Reducing the loss of body reserves during lactation and increasing energy intake between weaning and service have been suggested as ways of increasing the size of the second litter. This trial investigated these possibilities.
