Abstract: The capacity for heavy metal bioaccumulation by some fish parasites has been demonstrated, and their contribution to decreasing metal concentrations in tissues of parasitized fish has been hypothesized. The cestodes accumulated primarily elements which are known for their toxicity to many organisms such as Cu and Fe, these results are coincided with Torres et al (2015), Abdel-Gaber et al (2016) and Courtney-Hogue (2016) who reported high accumulation rates of heavy metals in cestode parasites and demonstrated its ability to be used for monitoring purposes. In contrast, nematodes mainly bioconcentrated elements which are part of several enzymes and other macromolecules and which are considered as essential elements such as Cd, Pb, Ni, Mn, Zn and Ca for many organisms, these results agreed with AbdelGhaffar et al (2015) who reported the highest rate of metal uptake by nematode parasites mainly for Cd, Pb, Mn and Zn.…”
