Effect of Initial Stress on the Dynamic Response of a Multi-Layered Plate-Strip Subjected to an Arbitrary Inclined Time-Harmonic Force

Abstract: The forced vibration of a multi-layered plate-strip with initial stress under the action of an arbitrary inclined time-harmonic force resting on a rigid foundation is considered. Within the framework of the piecewise homogeneous body model with the use of the three-dimensional linearized theory of elastic waves in initially stressed bodies (TLTEWISB), a mathematical modelling is presented in plane strain state. It is assumed that there exists the complete contact interaction at the interface between the layers… Show more

“…In [5], Daşdemir and Eröz investigated the effect of the pre-stress parameter on the dynamic behavior of a bi-layered plate-strip resting on a rigid foundation; however, this paper presents the numerical results including the case in which there is an initial tension force was the only case. Therefore, to address this issue, in [6], Daşdemir analyzed the effect of the initial compression force on the frequency response of the bilayered system and compared the numerical findings *Sorumlu Yazar (Corresponding Author) e-posta : ahmetdasdemir37@gmail.com with those given in [5]. Further, in [7], Daşdemir also investigated the influence of arbitrarily inclined loading on the dependence between the dynamical behavior of a multi-layered system and the static initial stress force.…”

“…18 To address this issue, Daşdemir considered the case where there exists the initial compression force in the layers. 19 Further, Daşdemir 20 extended the problem to the case mentioned in Daşdemir and Eröz 18 and Daşdemir 19 , which is the investigation of plate-strip with elastic multi-layers under the action of an inclined time-harmonic loading. Note that it is infeasible to investigate the effect of pre-stresses on the dynamic response of the layered system according to the classical linear theory of elastodynamics because the system is nonlinear.…”
