“…To understand this novel feature, two possible mechanisms are envisaged: (1) the formation of oxazine dimer in solution, which leads to the spectral overlap between the upper excitonic state and the vibronic band, , that is, the vibronic mixing; and (2) vibrational coupling among vibronic modes of different frequencies, which allows more pathways of vibronic transitions to participate in a resonant Raman excitation process. If the former applies, the formation of dimers would be dependent on the intermolecular interaction between oxazine monomers as well as the surrounding solvent molecules and the relative absorption and fluorescence intensity of the expected dimer excitonic bands will be concentration-dependent. , As we have acquired the concentration-dependent absorption and fluorescence spectra in Figure S1, there is hardly any dimer formed at the given concentration. In addition, we have also performed the 2DES measurements at the concentration of 10 μM to confirm the negligible effect of concentration on these observed coherent patterns as shown in Figure S6.…”

“…Oxazine laser dyes can easily form aggregates in solution and molecular aggregates of them can act as a fluorescence quencher to degrade the lasing ability of dye-laser systems. We have recently reported the influence of hydrogel matrix on aggregative properties and photo-physical behavior of Oxazine 720 and Oxazine 750 dyes [9][10]. In reference 11, aggregation effects on second harmonic generation of Oxazine dye have been investigated.…”
