Effect of highly dispersed powders of shungite and termin on the properties of rubber mixes

Abstract

Earlier [1] we studied the possibility of producing highly dispersed powders of new mineral fi llers-shungite (a mineral of natural origin, Kareliya) and "termin" (specially treated ash from the burning of solid fuel at thermal electric power plants) in planetary mills-new-generation grinding equipment, and also their use in rubber mixes and compounds based on butadiene-styrene rubber SKMS-30ARKM-15. The results obtained made it possible to conclude that the introduction of highly dispersed shungite and termin leads to improved properties of rubber compounds.
