“…The growth-related gibberellins biosynthetic pathway genes, AtGA2ox1 (GA 2 -oxidase), AtGA20ox1 , and AtGA20ox2 control key steps of GAs synthesis in plants. Huang, et al [ 35 ] showed that overexpression of GA20ox did not affect the gibberellic acid (GA 4 ), which is said to be one of the major bioactive GAs in Arabidopsis with GA 1 , GA 9, and GA 20 [ 36 ]. The authors suggested that other GAs than GA 4 would be responsible for the growth phenotype observed in the GA20ox OE plants.…”

“…It was observed that the negative effects of water stress were much severer in pre-anthesis and during anthesis stages while the post-anthesis stage was less affected by the water stress conditions. The major reason is that pre-anthesis and during-anthesis stages were the stages of maize vegetative growth which are supposed to be the stages with the highest biomass accumulation ( Bhattacharya, 2019 ). As water stress reduced the total biomass of the plant by decreasing internodal length and plant height, which resulted in an imbalance in the source-sink ratio, resulting in poor biomass portioning and weaker sink ( Ge et al, 2012 ).…”

“…High temperature is an adverse condition that enormously impacts plant growth and fitness ( Bhattacharya, 2019 ). Nowadays, climate change is leading to more frequent high-temperature extremes, such as heat waves, that aggravate the negative impact of heat on plant development and agricultural yield ( Gray and Brady, 2016 ; Miller et al., 2021 ).…”
