“…Low‐ and high‐magnification SEM micrographs of the F2 specimen in Figure 3 show the discontinuous nature of η precipitation within grains. Previous SEM‐EDS analysis on such phase in IN706 showed the enrichment of Ni, Nb, and Ti and precipitate free zone around it, which matched to the nature of η precipitates in IN706 44 . While these η precipitates have been known to be not detrimental to mechanical properties of IN718, 9 no studies are available on elevated temperature LCF behavior of IN706.…”
