Due to the special climate conditions in the Qingtongxia region, grapes are high in sugar and low in titratable acidity from the stages of ripening. Therefore, the common methods used for determining the maturity of grapes, which depend on the ratio of sugar and titratable acidity in other regions, are inappropriate in Qingtongxia. This research was done in order to seek for a simple and convenient method of determining the optimal harvest time of grapes, further providing some theoretical basis for improving the quality of wine in Qingtongxia. Phenolic contents and some basic physico-chemical parameters of Merlot and Pinot Noir were evaluated during different ripening stages. The results showed that a different harvest time significantly affects the phenolic contents and physico-chemical parameters of Merlot and Pinot Noir. The total contents of anthocyanins in skins and total contents of phenolic in seeds was screen out as two important indexes to evaluate the maturity of polyphenols, in order to better improve the quality of grape and wine.

A b s t r a c t. This paper is an investigation via two experimental methods, of the textural properties of sugar beet roots during the storage period. In the work, sugar beet roots mechanical properties were evaluated during the post-harvest period -1, 8, 22, 43, and 71 days after crop. Both experimental methods, i.e. compression test and puncture test, suggest that the failure strength of the sugar beet root increases with the storage time. The parameters obtained using the puncture test, are more sensitive to the storage duration than those obtained by way of the compression test. We also found that such mechanical properties served as a reliable tool for monitoring the progress of sugar beet roots storage. The described methods could also be used to highlight important information on sugar beet evolution during storage.

There are different types of berries, one of the best-known, nutritious and important is the blueberry. The modern processing of these fruits guarantees high quality, better marketing of the product and an estimate of its useful life. The aim of this review was to provide scientific information on the physicochemical characteristics of different berries using hyperspectral imaging technology and digital imaging. These technologies present trends with satisfactory results in various technological and research fields. The findings obtained show that hyperspectral imaging technology and digital imaging technology have been of great interest in recent years, because they are non-destructive technologies, which allow good predictions in the detection of anomalies in berries, considering them Robust, reliable tools with high potential for use in the large industry in evaluating the quality of berries, making it possible to offer more suitable products for the consumer. With the advancement of technology, new possibilities for future studies are presented to obtain models that are faster to process and with greater statistical precision.
