The obtained data and the variability of the abundance of these compounds were in agreement with previous works on 1-year-old roots from E. angustifolia ; echinacoside was found in percentages ranging from 0.2 to 3.5%, 0.02–0.5% for cynarin, and 0.2–2.3% for dodeca-2E,4E,8Z,10E/Z-tetraenoic acid isobutylamide [ 8 , 12 , 16 , 18 ].
