Effect of Flow Rate on Regular Patterns of Pressure Load Distribution on Helico-Axial Pump Impeller Blade Surface

Abstract: In this paper, the k-ω SST (Shear Stress Transport) turbulence model is employed to study the effect of flow rate on regular patterns of pressure load distribution characteristics on the helico-axial pump impeller blade surface. The results show that all the curves of pressure load distribution of helico-axial pump impeller blade surface at different blade heights under different flow rates show a similar trend of increasing first and decreasing then. At the impeller blade inlet area, with the increase of flow… Show more

“…For rotodynamic pumps, the earliest research on multiphase rotodynamic pumps began in the 1980s and was put into engineering application in the 1990s [8][9][10][11]. Huang et al [12,13] conducted a three-dimensional numerical simulation of gas-liquid two-phase flows in a helicoaxial pump, and provided a numerical method for the performance prediction of the pump. Ma et al [14] carried out a multi-objective optimization design for rotodynamic pumps.…”
