“…Tel. : +90 422 3410010x3720; fax: +90 422 3410037. grain formation and intergrain properties of the Bi-based system were highly influenced by the partial substitution of Cu by 3d-elements [2][3][4][5][6]. The substitution of Ni and Fe for Cu site showed a monotonically decrease on T c with the increase on the substitution levels.…”

“…However, the major limitations of the Bi-2223 system applications are the intergrain weak links and weak flux pining capability. For example, the intragrain and intergrain properties of the Bi-2223 system are influenced differently by the partial substitution of (Cu) by 3d elements [6,7]. Substitution of low-concentration of Sb (in place of Pb) promotes the formation of Bi-2223 phase [8].…”

“…One can say that the partial replacement of Cu 2+ ions by Ru 4+ ions in CuO 2 -planes yields an increase in the scattering of the induced magnetic moment of Cu atoms having Ru neighbor. The effective magnetic moment for (Bi, Pb)-2223 phase substituted by Fe [39] is higher than that substituted by Ru, at the same content x = 0.05. This means that Fe-substitutions are more effective than Ru-substitutions to increase the scattering of that induced magnetic moment of Cu atoms.…”
