“…It involves oxidation-reduction reaction to convert the complex organic dyes to harmless end products. 32 The PCA behavior of La Co-doped La 1−y Gd y Ni 1−x Co x O 3 showed the degradation of 88.6% within 90 minutes of irradiation (Figure 16C). During photocatalytic degradation of dye, electrons are excited from VB to the CB when material is irradiated under light, which resulting in the formation of electronhole pair.…”

“…The tangent loss values were low at lower frequency, which were increased with frequency and vice versa. This behavior of tangent loss (tanγ) can be attributed to the presence of conduction mechanism and polarization explained in the cases of dielectric constant and dielectric loss (Ajmal et al 2019). The values of dielectric constant decreased sharply in the lower frequency region and decreased linearly in the higher frequency region.…”

“…The decline in the dielectric constant is also due to the externally applied field when electric moment is induced in the dielectric material. When high frequency region is reached, induced electric moment and exchange of electrons between Fe +2 and Fe +3 ions cannot harmonize with the applied field and charge carriers did not synchronize with external field and values of dielectric constant are decreased (Ajmal et al 2019;Bibi et al 2019). The high values of dielectric loss in the low frequency region are also attributed to the grain boundaries.…”
