Eccentricity measurement techniques are developed to ensure optimization of operational works, either for large or small objects such as upper bearing kWH meter. Small object eccentricity testing has been done by using precise and sensitive touch trigger probing and a special sofware that makes it expensive. This study developed a more economical vision system in eccentricity testing. It consists of bearing holder and CCD microscope as an image recorder and computerized image processing. It uses three tested bearing during image recording process, which obtained 12 images from each tested bearing taken from every 30 o angle, and one image as registration reference. Image registration process is conducted to correct imperfections bearing mounting into its holder and use centroid method to test the eccentricity of upper bearing kWH meter. This study is succeed in making an eccentricity testing prototype of upper bearing kWH meter which obtained result of 2 nd bearing has its largest standard deviation. From all standard deviation value obtained that x-axis (horizontal) standard deviation is larger than y-axis (vertical) which means that detection of x direction is more accurate than y direction. To enhance precision image acquisition in the next study, it is expected the use of a computer system with homogeneous illumination is enabled.

The mass transfer process is the subject of many experimental studies in chemical engineering and also one of the most commonly used processes. Unfortunately, the mechanism of this process is still not fully understood, especially when nonstandard methods of intensification of mass transfer are used. In this investigation, the use of an alternating magnetic field action AMFs causing mass transfer was taking into consideration. As a result of the flow of electrically conductive fluid near the alternating magnetic field, electromagnetic forces can be generated within the liquid.These forces arise as a result of interaction between the magnetic field and the electric current. They are responsible for the rotation and consequently cause movement of the fluid on which they act. Therefore, there is the possibility of using these properties in the construction of a nonintrusive mixing stirrer.The aim of this study is to determine the mixing time, the power consumption and the mixing efficiency in the mass transfer process that is induced under the action of RMF. The present study compared the mass transfer coefficient of two reactor types RMF mixer and stirred tank reactor.

A computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation was carried out to study on flow field characteristics in dual-Rusthton turbine stirred vessels in laminar and turbulent regimes. Model validation was conducted using experimental data in the literature. The simulation results show that flow pattern and dimensionless velocity distribution vary with Reynolds number in laminar regime, while these parameters remain almost unchanged for different Reynolds numbers in turbulent regime. For vessels with a certain geometrical configuration, flow pattern, dimensionless velocity distribution and impeller power number depend mainly on Reynolds number, and are little affected by working medium and enlargement scale. By changing impeller spacing and offbottom clearance of lower impeller, it is obtained the parallel, merging and diverging flow patterns in turbulent regime, and the changing processes of flow patterns in laminar regime for the three configurations. Total power number has the order of parallel>diverging>merging for the three configurations at the same Reynolds number. With increasing of Reynolds number, the power number of merging configuration shows the largest drop, followed by diverging configuration, and the lowest drop for parallel configuration in laminar regime, while power number rises slightly for the three configurations in turbulent regime.
