Effect of Dolomite Addition on the Structure and Properties of Multicomponent Amphibolite Glasses

Abstract: The structure and properties of the glass can be modified by introducing appropriate additives. Dolomite is one of the primary raw materials modifying the properties of glass, in which the essential component is calcium-magnesium double carbonate CaCO3∙MgCO3. The paper presents the research results on glasses obtained by smelting pure amphibolite and amphibolite modified with 10 and 20% dolomite additives. The raw material used was mined in the Poland region of Lower Silesia. The glass melting process was carr… Show more

“…Tourism activities (De Vera, 2019) should consider ecological protection, sustainability, preservation of natural resources, activities of tourists, planning, human resources, tourism's contribution to local economic growth, and a safe, satisfying, and enjoyable experience for all tourists, regardless of gender, race, or disability. To better manage the destination and increase customer satisfaction, Nohra (2018) gathered data and analyzed it using different intelligence technologies to discover visitor habits and then provide solutions based on their findings.…”

“…This former additional peak could be attributed to the decomposition of dolomite whereas dolomite is used in a high fraction (48.13wt.%) during the batch calculation for G10. Subsequently, it is likely that some dolomite traces remained in the glass [34][35][36]. However, such shallow broad exothermic peaks were neglected during the heat treatment process to save energy consumption.…”
