Effect of directional antennas at both ends of the link on fading statistics

Abstract: This paper presents the fading statistics for macrocell mobile environment while directional antennas are used at both ends of the radio link. The probability density function (PDF) of angle of arrival (AoA) of multipath signals is used to investigate fading statistics with assumption that mobile station (MS) is surrounded by uniform and Gaussian distribution of scatterers.
