“…25,26 ARI scores of 4 and 5 are clinically advantageous in the debonding process because this means less adhesive adhering to the tooth, resulting in easier and faster removal and minimum destruction. 27,28 This study can conclude that desensitizing agents were able to increase the SBS of the orthodontic metal bracket post-in-office bleaching, with fluoride-based desensitizing agents having better SBS than non-fluoridebased desensitizing agents. The ARI scores were similar for all groups, meaning that adhesive materials adhere more to the bracket than the enamel surface.…”

“…Results: The enamel microporosity showed significant difference between Group 1 and the other groups. There was no significant difference between Groups 2,3, and 4 (p<0.05). Although there was no significant difference between Group 3 and 4, the lowest one was in Group 4 (p>0.05).…”

“…When the pH falls below the threshold value, it can initiate the demineralization process, which is characterized by the formation of early stage of dental caries white spot lesion. 2,3 Demineralization is also a process involving the formation of enamel microporosity due to mineral loss and dissolution, for instance calcium, phosphate, and crystal apatite in particular and hydroxyapatite Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 and collagen from the enamel prism. 4,5 Dynamic equilibrium happens within the process of demineralization and remineralization.…”

“…The traditional method for treating WSLs is to remineralize incipient lesions with the use of fluoride (9,11) . Recently different remineralizing agents have been developed to remineralize the incipient lesions, among of these are: -Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium, phosphate (CPP-ACP) gels which is a recent remineralizing agent (12) Casein is a phospho protein derived from Cow milk and can stabilize amorphous Calcium phosphate (13) that can release high concentration of Calcium and phosphate ions, those ions can freely diffuse to enamel subsurface lesions to promote remineralization (14) Bioactive glass is another remineralizing agents which composed of Sio 2 , Na 2 O, CaO and P 2 O 5 developed by Professor Larry Hench which is commercially produced in the form of Novamin Tm (14)(15) .…”
