Performance of Broiler Chickens Fed Diet Added with Buffaloes Rumen Fluid Enzymes from Slaughterhouses

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of addition of rumen fluid enzymes of buffaloes from slaughterhouse in diet on feed intake, slaughter weight, daily weight gain, feed conversion ratio, absolute carcass weight, relative carcass weight, and digestive organs of broiler. Materials used was two hundred unsexed 1 day old chicks of broilers. The study used a completely randomized design with five treatments and four replications consisted of 10 birds each replication. Treatment groups were as follows P0 = diet without addition of rumen fluid enzymes (control); P1 = diet with addition of rumen fluid enzymes of 0.75%; P2 = diet with addition of rumen fluid enzymes of 1.5%; P3= diet with addition of rumen fluid enzymes of 2.25%; P4= diet with addition of rumen fluid enzymes of 3%. The variables observed were feed intake, slaughter weight, daily weight gain, feed conversion ratio, absolute carcass weight, relative carcass weight, and digestive organs. Results of the study showed that the treatments gave a non-significant different (P>0.05) on feed intake, slaughter weight, daily weight gain, feed conversion ratio, absolute carcass weight, relative carcass weight, and digestive organs of broiler chicken. It could be concluded that the use of rumen fluid enzymes of buffaloes in the diets up to 3% level did not increase performance and digestive organs of broiler chicken.

This study investigated the role of vitamin C and Citrus Sinensis peel (sweet orange peel (Sop)) on growth, carcass characteristics and health status in 160 one day old broiler chickens (Ross308) which were randomly divided into four equal groups consisting 4 pens. Each pen having 10 birds (5 male and 5 female) for 35 days. All chicks were exposed to heat stress (33 0 C) during all the experimental period (35 days). Group one considered as control, groups 2, 3, 4 were given feed containing vitamin C (500ppm/ feed), sweet orange peel (Sop) (1,2 % respectively). Sop 2% significantly increased average body weight gain and feed intake during the grower period (16-28) (P<0.05). The birds fed Sop 2% during the whole experimental period had higher FI and greater feed conversion ratio (P<0.05) compared to the other groups. The mortality rate tended to be the lowest in the birds fed the feed additives (P<0.05). The relative weight of internal organs, blood profiles pictures were not affected by Sop with two tested levels (P<0.05) or vitamin C compared with the control group. Broiler fed vitamin C or Sop levels had greater primary and secondary antibody responses to sheep red blood cells (SRBC) and against phytohemagglutinin (PHA-P) antigen compared with those in the control group (P<0.05). Sop and vitamin C increased antibodies titer against Newcastle disease during the secondary antibody response (P<0.05). Overall, Sop as feed additive improved immune responses in broiler chickens under heat stress. Also the result indicate that the Sop 2 % during the grower period had a positive effect on growth performance of broiler chickens under heat stress.

The main target of current study was evaluated effect of incorporation of treated lemon pulp by Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast (LPT) in growing rabbit diets on productive performance, antioxidant enzyme and immune response. Forty eight cross bred (New Zealand White (NZW) X California), 6 weeks age with live body weight ranging from 730.00 to 733.30g were divided into four experimental diet groups (twelve rabbits in each). Each treatment group was replicate six times and each replicates (2 rabbits in each replicate). These were divided into basal diet without LPT as a control group, while 3%, 6% and 9%LPT (replacement basal diet protein by three different levels of LPT protein) as the second, third, and fourth group, respectively. The results showed no significant differences in final body weight (FBW, g), daily body weight gain [BWG (g/rabbit/day)], daily feed intake [FI (g/rabbit/day)] and feed conversion ratio [FCR, g feed/g gain] were observed among rabbit groups and control group. Moreover, no significant differences were observed in DM, OM, CP, CF, EE, NFE% digestibility and nutritive value among experimental groups. The total lipid (TL) value increased (P≤0.05) with rabbits fed 3and 6%LPT diets groups when compared to control and 9%LPT diets. While increasing LPT up to 9% decreased (P≤0.05) the concentrate of cholesterol and triglycerides in experimental groups as compared to control group. The lowest (P≤0.05) value of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) was observed with 6%LPT group when compared to control and 3% treated groups. The alanine aminotransferase (ALT) decreased (P≤0.05) with 6% LPT group when compared to 3 and 9% LPT dietary groups, while, no significant differences between treated groups and control group. The rabbit fed Net revenue 1 =A-B Economical efficiency (%) 2 = (Net revenue / B) X 100. Conclusively, according the experiment results, using of treated lemon pulp with yeast in growing rabbit diets up to 9% (replacing of lemon pulp treated with yeast protein by basal diet protein) could be possible without any adverse effects on performance, digestibility and nutritive value. Also, utilization of LPT in growing rabbit diets could be improvement of total antioxidant enzyme and immune response.
