Effect of diazepam (Valium) on dialysable thyroxine

Abstract: SummaryShort-term treatment with diazepam constantly reduced the level of protein-bound iodine, the percentage dialysable thyroxine and the 'free' thyroxine iodine in ten euthyroid individuals, but the serumlevels remained within the normal range.
