Effect of cytokines on HIV-induced depletion of thymocytes in vivo

Abstract: Cytokines such as IL-2 and IFN-gamma maintain immature thymocytes without increasing viral load and may be useful as adjuncts to improve immune reconstitution after HIV infection.
