EFFECT OF COMBINATION OF GnRH AND PGF2α FOR ESTRUS SYNCHRONIZATION ON ONSET OF ESTRUS AND PREGNANCY RATE IN DIFFERENT POSTPARTUM IN SWAMP BUFFALO IN KAMPAR REGENCY

Abstract: The purposes of this study were to investigate the effect of administration of GnRH and PGF2α on onset of estrus and conception rate in different postpartum swamp buffalo (Bubalus bubalis). Twenty postpartum (pp) buffalo-cows were divided into four groups of five buffaloes as follows: Group A (30 day pp), Group B (45 dpp), Group C (60 dpp), and Group D (75 dpp). The buffaloes in each group were injected intramuscularly with 3 ml GnRH at day 0, followed by intramuscular injection of 2.5 ml PGF2α, 10 ml) at day … Show more

“…P4-releasing intravaginal device (PRID) and CIDR have been used with ovsynch programs for treatment of buffaloes suffering from inactive ovaries (Yendraliza Zesfin et al, 2011;Barile, 2012). After device removal, the plasma P4 concentration sharply decrease and those the GnRH, LH and FSH get increase leading to resumption of the ovarian activity (Zerbe, 1999).…”

“…Des taux de fertilité de 46,3 % et 22,1 % ont été rapportés chez les vaches Bos taurus bouchères par Mialot et al (2003) et Yendralisa et al (2011, et laitières par Stevenson et al (1999). De même, Yendraliza et al (2011) rapportent que le traitement des bufflonnes à différentes périodes post-partum avec 3 ml de GnRH à J0, suivi de 2,5 ml de PGF2α à J7 améliore leur efficacité de reproduction. Kouamo et al (2020) The objective of the study was to evaluate two prostaglandin F2α (alfaprostol 2 mg) based heat synchronization protocols, one short with a single injection and artificial insemination (AI) on observed heat, the other long with a double injection at 11 days› interval and AI at a fixed time 80 hours after the second injection.…”
