“…In particular, it was demonstrated that the hydrogen storage capacity increased substantially for the compounds RMgT 4 (R = Y, Ce, Nd) with Co for Ni substitution [20][21][22]. This paper reports the isothermal section of Tb-Mg-Co phase diagram at the 500 °C, the crystal structure of ternary compounds and solid solutions Tb 1-x Mg x Co 2 and Tb 1-x Mg x Co 3 as well as their hydrogenation properties, crystal structure and thermodesorption of hydrogen for the corresponding hydrides.…”

“…Magnesiumcontaining compounds (R 1-x Mg x ) n Ni m (n = 1, m = 2-3.5) are characterised by improved chargedischarge parameters and used as electrode materials for Ni/MH batteries [12,13]. It has been shown also that the increase of cobalt content in the RMg(Ni,Co) 4 compounds results in the increase of hydrogen storage capacity [14][15][16]. These results caused the interest to other compounds in RMg-d-metal systems.…”

“…In NdNiMg15, with a Néel temperature TN = 9 K, we observe very long Nd-Nd distances, equal to 7.76 Å and 7.19 Å between Nd atoms inside and between the chains, respectively. In the literature, only few compounds having very long RE-RE distances (higher than 7 Å to achieve a 3D network of RE-atoms) exhibit magnetic ordering temperature higher than 10 K. In the series RERhIn5 (RE = Rare-Earth) with tetragonal symmetry, NdRhIn5 47 . Band structure calculation are planned to better characterize the magnetic interactions in NdNiMg15 and to see if the Ni-atoms play a role in the interactions.…”
