“…Also, portlandite and C-S-H compositions contributed to the surface interaction between cement matrix and CF. The fact that the main crystalline phases are carbon and quartz can be attributed to the workability of the conductive network in the cement matrix [51]. The low peak densities of the C-S-H phases may be associated with the reaction in the cement mixture.…”

“…Therefore, a link between ICCP and SS technology has appeared. However, when C‐FRCM is used as the anode of ICCP system, the electrochemical reaction will cause polarization of C‐FRCM, thereby affecting its mechanical behavior and reducing the effectiveness of SS 17 . Feng et al 18,19 conducted experiments on the tensile and flexural behavior of C‐FRCM after the application of ICCP technology, and results showed that carbon fiber mesh under electrification displayed acidification of the interface, which adversely affected the ultimate bearing capacity and ductility of the C‐FRCM material.…”

“…Feng et al 22 examined the tensile and bending behavior of prefabricated C-FRCM plate via a digital image correlation (DIC) system. The interfacial adhesion between C-FRCM and concrete in the ICCP-SS system was examined by Li et al 23 via pull-out tests and double shear tests, and the microstructure of the interface was observed via scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The performance of RC beams strengthened with the ICCP-SS system was examined 24,25 and the validity of ICCP-SS was preliminarily explored.…”
