“…Clumps of adhering fibers become flaws in paper and paperboard products and are thus unacceptable. The literature describes many ways of quantifying repulpability including examining paper made from the pulp by using a screening process to isolate and measure fiber clumps after a well-defined mixing process, , measuring the freeness of the resulting pulp suspension, and measuring the wet tensile strength of pulp or paper sheets to be repulped . In this work, we measured the wet tensile strengths of impregnated pulp sheets as an indicator of repulpability.…”

“…PAE is formed by a polyamideamine structure with 80% of the backbone presenting AZR . Consequently, the NTP PAE film shows formation of a biphasic system and two relaxations when studied by DMA: (i) at ca −5.0°C attributed to the T g of the PAE phase and (ii) at ca 67°C associated to the T g of the polyamideamine phase . The CMC film shows two relaxations at 30 and 230°C attributed to T g and T m , respectively.…”

“…Typically, papers treated with wet strength resins retain at least 15% of their dry tensile strength after wetting with water. It is worth noting that these cross‐linked polymers make papers resistant to repulping unless they are attacked with a right combination of chemicals and mechanical energy . Wet strength additives are added in products such as tissue paper, paper towels, milk cartons, photographic base paper, hamburger wrappers, bank notes, waterproof liner boards/corrugated medium, and others, which represent a nonneglected volume of the world annual paper production.…”

“…Все перечисленные виды бумаги содержат в своем композиционном составе полиамидаминэпихлоргидриновую смолу. Она придает бумаге необходимую прочность во влажном состоянии и поэтому существенно затрудняет стадию роспуска ее технологических отходов в процессе рециклинга [3][4][5]. Последнее сопровождается снижением производительности оборудования узла роспуска и понесением дополнительных энергетических затрат.…”
