“…The decrease in hybridoma diameter preceded in a nonlinear way the increase in AB, LA, and necrotic cells. Moran et al (1999) recently indicated that cell shrinkage and fragmentation during apoptosis of myeloma cells correlated with cell size distribution, but no further quantitative evidence was provided. Altogether, our results indicate that cell size can be used as an effective, rapid, and simple means for quantifying PCD in Sf9 cell cultures, but more work is still necessary before extending such a conclusion to other cell lines.…”
